Does anyone have a rough idea on how much per square meter it cost to build in Bali
and any names of builders

I have a quotation for a Villa in Bukit includes everything, 7.5 Mio Rupiah per m2.

We are not building a villa we want to build a 1 bedroom unit and pool at the back of the property for now and in about 18 months the main house, any advice

I agree with you that 7.5 Mio is too expensive. The architect told me 1 year ago he was able to build this Villa for 5 Mio. I think all over the material cost increase

Since you are a contractor it might be helpful if you post the basic costs here instead of using a pm on a forum?
