Where did you get this idea about the floor "ceramic" (I don't know the word for it)? This is wild. I've never seen this before. Where does it come from?![]()

Sorry, somehow I got tangled, and my comment got posted twice. Since the system would not let me delete the duplicate altogether, I had to split one into two comments.![]()

I have been reading former threads and discussions about building and the cost of-.Your list of prices from your quotation is very helpful.I have one question about that:Is there a post in thatquotation for your builder, such as "Jasa pemborong",builders fee,or are those prices including his percentage/profit?
Thanks for all the input,it is very helpful.
Your house and location look real nice.East of Amlapura or between Padang Bai and Candi Dasa?
Yes there is. I am having work done at my house in Makassar at the moment and this was included in the price. I do suspect however it is the cream on the top as he makes money on materials as well.

Many thanks for your well wishes and warm greetings.
Maybe, it is the most fun I've had with my clothes on in more years than I care to think of and especially when I take account of all that "expensive" learning
Just a little north of Amlapura, headed up into the very poor north/east of the island just above Seraya they do a lot of trading with the sea-polished stones of various sizes. Many of them are formed into paving stones and murals. I was over there looking at a building project of a friend of mine and it just occurred to me it would make a good addition to what might be a boring floor - I think I was right?
The house is near Amlapura and the answer to your question (following Jimbo's) is that I didn't have a "builder" as such but played builder myself - that meant that I subcontracted all the various tasks out individually and handled the prices too. So each job was Net of all costs. I'm all for clarity and therefore knew what each stage of the build would finally cost when I gave the go-ahead for it to start.
It all comes down to whether you are happy with the price you are paying for the work being done. Don't lose sight of the fact that whatever they charge you for building wouldn't put you up a garden shed at home!![]()
