Default Info on 12 year old going to school and visa

Hi all, I am new to the forum so this is of course my first post. :D My Mother, son and I are wanting to move to Bali in the not too distant future. My Mum can apply for a retirement visa but I have a business in Melbourne Australia which I will have to return too at least 4 times a year. My questions are these: What sort of visa can I and my son apply for and also would my son have to come with me back to Australia or can He stay in Bali with my Mum and attend school? Thank you in advance for your help Leesa.

I don't have any personal experience, but I have read on other forums, that some schools can provide their students with a KITAS. For younger aged school kids though, it might not be available.

The school you want to send your child, might be able to offer more advice. Just getting a social visa for him is another option, but that would mean a trip to Singapore every six months.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

    welcome to the forum Mrs.Beefy....

Your mother, when she has a retirement Visa, can sponsor your sosbud visa....I have no clue of how many people one is allowed to sponsor..but a sponsor for your son is easily found, so he can get a sosbud visa too.

Now I come to think of it..rereading your post...you write "at least 4 times back to Aus" so if that would be like '6' times, you could just apply for a 60 day tourism-visa and let your mother sponsor your son...after 6 months your son would have to join you back to Aus and get a new sosbud visa for the next 6 months.

Like spicyayam already said, you can also check with the school your son is going to attend for a visa for him...better chance of sponsorship Kitas (12 months) when it's a International school..

Take care hope all will go well....any feedback on how or where you arranged your Visa's is greatly appreciated.
    friendly greetings...Gilbert.
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)

Your mother will eventually get a Kitas then after 5 years she can get a permenent stay visa. I advise a lot of research on this as maybe your son will want to go o school here and possibly a visa like a Social Budaya visa may not be suitable. In 5 years in here I have never heard of a case like yours.

I would suggest you get some serious professional advice rather than asking in a general forum like this. Go to a specialist and make sure what you are wanting is feasible. I can see a lot of snags. Try Bali IDE as a starter ling on this site. Perhaps talk to the Indonesian embassy but what ever you do find out first.
    Regards Jimbo
