    My last remarks were made in jest. Most likely, the reason you had a Balinese priest come and bless the house had more to do with a public relation gesture with the rest of the community than a religious conviction.

    As for being "ripped-off", well, if one has been in Bali for any length of time, one has certainly been "ripped-off" more than once. But, being "ripped-off" is most of the time in the eyes of the beholder... :)
