Default Looking for place to rent in Denpasar

    Hey everyone!

So I'm getting ready for my big move to Bali in the middle of May! I'm moving from Detroit USA to teach English in Bali for at least a year. I'm totally excited but nervous! I could really use some help and advice in making my move smoother!

Anyways, I'm looking for a place in Denpasar, around the Kessiman area preferably. Somewhere around 1 million rupiah.

    Thanks!

    Default Disewakan Denpasar

It would be best to have a look around when you're in Bali. Most places that are for rent you can't find online. I think you mean 1 million a month for rent? A better idea would be to let your employer arrange it for you as part of the deal. They are familiar with the area, so they can find a good place more easy. If you want to have a look online you should search in Indonesian. Google disewakan denpasar and you get a lot of options, like for instance this Rumah - Apartemen Disewakan Denpasar

Good luck with your search. Where are you going to teach in Denpasar? Think the children centre is in that area?

Thanks! Yea I meant 1 million a month. whoops!

I'll be teaching with Englishtown/English First. I spent last summer living in Denpasar and volunteering and teaching English, so I've been itching to get back! Hopefully it will all go smoothly.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your new job. I am sure it must be exciting for you.

I suppose you will be looking for a kos to live in at that price. I have stayed in a kos in another part of Indonesia and you just need to look around the streets you want to live in, or ask your friends if they know of a place.

The place I stayed in was pretty nice and was a better room than many hotels I have stayed in, not sure about Denpasar though.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

Seems like you're really excited to work in Bali. I was just wondering if you'll be teaching as private or public teacher?

    Default Living in Denpasar

I saw that you spent a summer living in Denpasar. I'm looking into teaching English abroad and one of the places I'd live would/could be Denpasar. I don't know much about it though and was wondering if you could give some insight into what living accomodations, the town, safety, etc would be like for a young girl living there. Thanks so much!!!

Maybe because their future employers just don't care and don't want to be bothered - since apparently there is more 'supply' than demand?

    Wish you a happy Easter!
