I agree with you Mark, property is really going up around here in Lovina. I have found some great pieces of land and I missed out for failing to act.

I have also noticed lots of new buildings go up around my area. Not just fancy villas, but ordinary local houses and buildings for businesses. Dirt roads are being asphalted and many people are looking to cash in.

Even if you are planning to move to Bali in a few years time, I would be looking at buying some land now.

I donnt think so....Indonesia stock market was going up since few month ago, abt land price increased main reason is inflation or too much hot money come from stock market that you think :roll:

Easier said than done. maybe I will have to delay retirement another 6 months to pay for the increase :(

At least from what I have seen in my area it is foreign investors who are driving the prices up. People also don't stop talking about the planned airport here :roll:

c'mon noodles, are you joking?? inflation has nothing to do with prices for land/houses/villa's going up...most if not all are nomintaed in USD or euro, not in rupiah's.
as for the stockmarket indonesia... hot money meaning what?? with all respect, well some respect...margins are too low to make any real money on the indonesian stockmarket.
and only investmentcompany's not people, can 'play' the moneymarket, which in rupiah is basically the same as betting black or red at the roulette :lol: .

planned? it's already in construction mode...people's houses being 'moved'..etcetc..

Do you have any idea how big the airport will be? I heard there are some plans floating around but haven't had a chance to see them.

I've been told 8), it will be big enough to accomodate flights coming from Aus,Sing,KL,etcetc...
one of the problems is getting the land-take off licenses, seems that the airport could 'mess-up' the existing flightpaths...I'm no expert, so it's a bit of abracadabra for me :lol:.
It's not going to be a mayor airport, but at least in the plans/drawings there's room for growth, including supporting roads etcetc.

See right there is the problem because most people think that it won't have changed again in 6 months time and just end up chasing the donkeys tail up the price ladder.

So if you are earnest about it then I truly suggest getting at least a deposit down on some ground now and worry about how you are going to pay for it later.

Sorry I really, really am not suggesting that you panic or hurry or do anything without really thinking about it first because in that direction lies chaos, particularly in the Indonesian property market. Don't hurry but be quick :?

My suggestion would be to come and stay in the location you want to live in for at least 6 months. Look at as much property as you can in that time. Occasionally you can come across some great deals, but you will need the money available and of course you need the time to spare - not everyone has that luxury.
