An Indonesian established legal entity, like a P.T. (and therefore also PMA) can own and utilize property in one or another way. Buy the Sriro book above, and you'll find all the details.

The government is keeping a watch on PMA's just setup for the purpose of owning property. If the PMA is doing normal business and has property for this particular business its no problem. But setting up a PMA just for owning something may get you in problems.

And again, the KITAS, even with a PMA, is not for free. You'll still need to pay 1200 usd a year, plus the costs of obtaining it. (and income tax, for you and the company)
    That's It !!

of course they keep an eye on it, beause they may buy/rent all the land based on long term conds for the purpose of reselling - the easiest way of earning money with paying so little tax for the owned property to the government.

in my situation i want to rent land for building a golf course, a business. so i wont get in trouble with that pma's government policy until i do smth wrong? i am puzzled what type of company shoud i open. To use pt or cv is no good because there are too many bad stories of loosing your investments..stingy pays twice (russian proverb)..or may be i am too cautious with opening biz with a nominee..

can you tell me the differences, please, about pt and pma because you type "..pma and therefore pt". They already differ by directors, i got that, but what are the other few differences and why you write "therefore" then?

I will be looking for differences of сv and pt also, hope i can find it faster.

Sure, will read the book, thanks for the links!!! nice of you, really.

    Best regards!

Oh a Golfcourse? One that uses water, a lot of water?

A PMA is a PT. (similar to a Ltd.) If you ever will have a PMA, it will be PT ... (the name you choose).

Difference is that a PMA is held by foreigners.

Difference between a CV and a PT is the same difference as between a Ltd. and a "firm", something with liability etc.

nope, it is the one that uses not too much green land and its spectacular view. also a chill out cafe on this land will make people relax a little. the land is going to be in a shadow by trees and and other materials so people will be able to play not only in the evenings.
I hope that aussies, japanese, indo and europe likes golf, mini golf in particular. which one uses water? have never heard of this one really!

oh, now i get it. a little =) i mean the main essence of your post.

Who knows, if I open CV like investor, can I operate it, using just social visa, without KITAS?

No you cannot. A sosial visa excludes working.

Maybe another thing, a KITAS and a working permit are 2 different things, a person could have a KITAS but no working permit but never a working permit without a KITAS.

The W.P. cost 100 $ a month, 1200 $ a year and what some people called here "some extra millions for the agent" is probably the money for the KITAS.

And yes Jimbo is right you cannot work on sosial budaya! They caught a bule woman lately helping out from time to time in a local warung, got some thousand rupiah for it, police found it out, she got deported! Donīt remember who told me or read it but itīs quite shocking...
