Question Moving/expanding web based business to Bali

Great forum I have read so many interesting posts here and I hope anyone can help me out with my question.

I am one of the co-owners of a Sweden-based company developing web and mobile applications. I have been investigating the possibilities of relocating myself to Bali. My work can easily be done from wherever there is internet access, so my plan is to leave Sweden, but continue the work I do for the Swedish company.

So I am wondering if anyone has any advice on what would be the best choice to legally be able to live and do my work from Bali. From what I have learned through my research is that I have to register a company in Indonesia. But I can't really figure out if I should go for a CV, PT or PMA. I have contacted a agency and got prices for the different kinds of licenses.

Anyone else done or are doing something like this? Am I missing some other options?

All thoughts and comments are much welcome!

    Many thanks!

Perhaps you could consider opening a branch office of your company in Bali. It is something you might like to mention this to the agency you are using.

Yes, the plan would be to start a branch, but does it change any of the legal parts? I still need to set up a CV, PT or PMA?

If your job is web based I wouldn't even bother setting up a company here. If you can work from home and no one is aware what you're doing you'll save yourself a lot of cash.

Yes doing it under the radar might be an option, but I read somewhere that if words get out that I'm sitting at home doing work, there might be complications with the police. Also it would be nice to have the possibility of doing business with local companies if the opportunity would arise.

Yes I would be able to work and live in Bali if I set up a business.

The agency I have been in contact with says that I don't need to "show" any investment funds when setting up a PMA. I have heard somewhere this would be around US$ 100 000. They would handle this and I only have to pay them their fee to setup the company.

Could this be true or are they trying to fool me?
