We are starting to build our house in Bali in a few months. We are considering to drill a well. Our plot is on ca 60 m height (Jimbaran/Bukit area). Does anyone have any experience in drilling a well? Do you know about any reliable contractor that can do this?

My wife and I caught a local bus last year (opposite the GALLERIA which is a fair hike from Kuta) and went to Candi Desa.

A crime wave seems to be underway in Penestanan, reports of a recent armed robbery taking place at Villa Om and other burglaries taking place recently one should take extra precautions.

Does anybody know Bob Lynch and knows where he is. He got married on Bali , built a house there and I believe he had a ricefield. He also had a little company where they cleaned Motorbikes and scooters. We ( my husband and I ) were friends of him a long time ago and lost touch. He lived in Kuta, Uluwatu 398, Jimbaran but ..? He always worked for half a year in Ireland.

House in Renon cannot find IMB Buillding Permit built about 2000 is there any way of getting a replacement copy of the IMB.

I am trying to stay in Bali for at least four months. I only have a one-way ticket, and would like to get a 60 day visa somehow. I realize I have to show an onward airplane/ferry ticket to get at least a 30 day visa upon arrival, and now I'm just trying to find the easiest/cheapest way to get a onward ticket out of the country for a few days, then come back to Bali and then renew my visa for another 30 days,, and etc... I really hope I can figure something out soon so I can even ...

I'm just curious but when it comes to trusting people in Bali what should I be looking for I have had many 'we start business brother' comments and 'you can trust me' but how do I really know what's going on.

I consider mtself intuitive and I follow my heart - this has got me out of many situations but in Bali what's the tell tale signs.

I have some experiences with health insurance. most of the companies are good but it all depends on the plan you get. Last year i moved from Miami, USA to Hong Kong and my dad , who is an airline pilot, told me to go with a insurance broker because they can find for me the best tailored plan for me. 3 days ago I decided to leave Ubud to spend Nyeple-day in Amed. Walking in the streets and roads was not allowed on Nyepi, but at least I could swim in the sea. All I needed was a seaside accommodation. Well… forget it, even walking on the beach and swimming is not allowed. The Nyepi-security told me precisely what I could and couldn’t do this day.
