Chilli, I promised to let you know if I heard from Putu Ernawan about getting our dogs into Bali but I haven't had a response to the email I sent to him. If I do hear from him I'll post the information.
    Cheers,
    Pollyanna

    Hi Pollyanna,

I hope Putu is still in business.
In his notes to me (in 2008) he does organise the import permit license. He gives you a list of what paper work etc, he requires from you. I think it was ronb on this forum who put me in touch with Putu to begin with.

Sorry, but I dont have Shirleys details anymore.

send Putu the email again, you never know, he may just be busy in replying to you or hasn't read it as yet.

    good luck.

Why would anyone join an open forum on the subject of an Indonesian island in the middle of the 3rd world and expect to find "manners" there?

To say the least I was a little confused until I looked at Chilli's user profile and fount that as an illustrious Elite member her most active post was about wuff, wuffs - dogs.

Sorry to be a pain but when you keep suggesting that I am an unmannered person because I may not post what you want to here then I suggest, respectfully, that you join a wuff, wuff forum where you will undoubtedly meet many like-minded, mannerly people that obviously share your main interests 8)

Hi Chilli, I've just received an email from Putu. He says the government hasn't lifted the ban on importing dogs into Bali and that he cannot act as an agent for us until the ban is lifted. At least we know he's still in business and will be able to help when the ban is lifted. It seems rather silly to have put a ban in place to keep dogs out of Bali once rabies is rampant on the island and the ban is for dogs vaccinated against rabies. Nevertheless, dems da rools.
