Almost cheaper to get a round trip to Singapore  If you know you want to stay here longer than 30 days, you will be better off either way to get the visa in advance and you will have more time to enjoy your holiday.

I got my colleague to phone the visa agent again, result: it's so expensive because there is NO extension of VOA. So I got my colleague to phone back again, advising the visa agent that since the end of January it actually IS possible to extend VOA. Oh, yes, sorry, but need to personally go to immigration, can't use (that particular) visa agent. Still don't know how much the official fee is.

[quote="widder"]I don't know whether to laugh or to cry!

Living in Indonesia (or Bali???) the most of the time is like that..........a normal feeling....
I called as well somebody who is doing visas and she told that is yet not clear but she heard that the person needs to go to the inmigration office on his/her own with a sponsor letter, the sponsor, the airline ticket and pay 250.000 Rp..........
I agree with spicy, if the person knows already is going to be here two month, probably will be easy to get the two month visa in advance.
Anyway, I guess we will know soon finally how to process this extension inside of the indonesia......
    Have a good weekend!

It is like the visa agent said to me:

Hmmm, cancelling the 7 day visa is going to hurt the weekend visitors from Australia. Those living in the Northern Terriorty and Western Australia are close enough to take a weekend break in Bali but this will make it a USD25.00 entry fee even for that short stay. Sadly it was/is cheaper and quicker for them to go to Bali than it is to visit the Eastern parts of Australia...just too far to travel.

Won't effect me as it stands because it is too far for us to take a weekend getaway in Bali, we have to come over for longer anyway. Think I'd go the way Spicyayam suggested though and get a 60 day visa before I left home if I planned a visit for longer than 60 days. Although if I did find I wanted to extend while there, I'd be going in myself and not paying an agent extra Rp. to do it for me.

I would never pay an agent for this kind of visa, it is a very strait forward application

anybody has any more news about this visa??
I just got an email from the Spanish Embassy in Jakarta this afternoon mention this, saying that now a person who enter in Indonesia with one month visa can apply for another month visa at the inmigration office paying 25 dollars, if is that simple it is going to be really good!!!

    Hello Lumumba

It seems that you know more than us. How straight forward is it?

How much is the additional charge?
Where do you apply / extend? Can it be done at Renon?
    Do you need a sponsor?
Can you enter at Ngurah Rai and extend in Manado?

    Would be good to know.
