    Question Visa Sponsors

    Hi, we're planning on moving to Bali for at least one year. We work from home and don't want to obtain employment, and we think we'll need a 12 month temporary residence visa, which we need sponsorship for.
    Does anyone know if anyone can be a sponsor, and if there is any way of getting a sponsor before we move to Bali? Or are we best getting a travel visa then somehow finding sponsor in Bali? Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

    There are many threads on this kind of topic which you can see in the forum devoted to visa issues. Try looking at the archives in there first and also try your local embassy. It is not easy to get a 12 month visa but you can get a sosial visa for up to 6 months and then leave the country and return on another. The whole visa issue is complex. Please also note that work is work in Indonesia even if unpaid and a work visa needs to be obtained.
