    Default cost of sticker cutting

    Hi there guys and girls,

I'm wondering if anyone has a good place to get stickers cut by computer.

Cheap and best as they say in India...

    Any pointers are much appreciated!

    regards,

I had some stickers made (6cm times 2 cm) in a Digital Printing studio in Jl. Teuku Umar, right side, close to the main intersection, where all the banks are. Printed on waterproof shiny, plastic-like surface. Cost was around Rp. 180.000 for 100 piece.

If you want small volumes only, don't go to a 'normal' printing studio, which clutter the main roads in Legian or Kuta. They will quote you way higher prices. They first create a printing template (schablone) and they can only print a minimum of 500-1000 pieces or up. You will probably pay then around Rp.500.000 to 750.000.

I checked around 10 printing outlets, before I found that cheaper one. Look for 'Digital Printing', that should do it, as they print right from the computer onto the material.

Bring your sample on an USB Thumbdrive and negotiate as usual....

    Default Sticker Cutting

In December 2010, we will be permanently moving to Bali to operate our signwriting business. We are importing all of our equipment which and will be able to computer cut stickers and professional signage. Does anyone believe there is a need for these type of services on the island? While quality materials will still be shipped from Oz, we believe we can still offer these services at a low price.

Election campaigns, which are frequent, create a big demand for large format digital printing. In between time, there is probably an over-supply of printing capability.

Our primary work is the production of computer cut vinyl signage for both small business and corporate customers. We currently do corporate logos, shop fronts and signs, cars, buses, trucks, boats, bikes etc. From my research I would have to agree with you that there are alot of "Printers" in Bali but cut vinyl signs last longer and can provide a cleaner image for customers at a more competitive price. Well that all works here in OZ but I'll have to wait and see once the move is made.
    Cheers All

I dont know about signs but at Best printing on the Bypass I paid Rp180,000 for a one way(?)sticker for the back windscreen for my car.

I don't know if that is the correct name but it covers the full back windscreen and I can see out through it but from outside people see the design/etc.

Only been here about a year and a half but Ron maybe you can tell me when this mythical "in between time" might be?

$21AUD for a printed sticker the size of the back window. WOW they obviously aren't sourcing the materials from OZ. I will have to investigate cheaper suppliers if I hope to get my bowl of rice of an evening lol

I think trying to compete with locals in terms of price only, it will be difficult. It seems like there a lot of printing places here. Business cards, signs etc, seem so cheap, I also wonder how much they are making on each job. I am not saying there is no business opportunity here for that, you probably just need to be a little more selective in your marketing and offer something a little different or better quality than what is currently on offer.
