Default Virgin oils, natural cosmetics North Bali or online, where?

After googling and visiting different Bali forums, I post this question here.
It is not a food or drink topic (except for the oils), but I thinks it fits best in this subforum.

As my skin is allergic for commercial cosmetics I am looking for:

    1) untreated, virgin oils (sesame, coconut...) not to eat but for personal care.
I found olive oil at Lovina Bakery, so if I can't find anything else I'll buy it there.

I am surrounded by coconut trees, but surprisingly it is hard to find coconut oil...
I was warned by a Bali lady not to buy coconut oil at the Lovina market, because she said it would be probably mixed with something else. But maybe I should test it and have a sip first, cheers! :D

    2) I have been also looking for natural cosmetics, without mineral oils, synthetic ingredients (SLES, SLS, parabens etc etc) . I am currently using Dr Hauschka, Lavera, Aubrey Organics that kind of stuff I bought online when I was in Europe.

Well, I think every shop employee in this area has seen my nose sniffing around for these things. If it is not available up north, the other option is to buy online, preferably from Balinese/ Indonesian websites (more convenient than driving to South Bali)
It would be nice if the products are organic, but maybe that is too much to ask for.

Btw, your info about use of herbs, plants, fruits for personal care is welcome.
    Yeah fruits, veggies ...
Mangosteen, avocado, honey, cacao... happy food for the skin :D

Hi MiSo, I don't know much about the natural products you are after - but can suggest one Lovina shop if you have not already found it. Its called Akar, it sells natural products and is also a small coffee shop/cafe with vegetarian offerings. Its in Jalan Binaria - as you walk from main road to Dolphin Statue its on your left, just where the street bends to the right a bit. Its all in green colors. Out the back there are tables overlooking the small river - a good spot at sunset.

Aah..Akar..I know that little green restaurant for veggiefood, the nice lady must have been blinded me that evening, because I didn't see any products...
It's noon, getting hot, but ok, I am on my way. Thank you Ron!

Went to Akar this morning. Akar has different natural prods from 25.000 & up. Oils, creams, soaps, Neem prods. European prices.
Can anyone tell me why coconut oil is relatively expensive on Bali? 100 ml , around 60.000 here. In Europe I pay less than 100.000 Rups per 500 ml, also organic virgin coconut oil.

I'm going to dip my hair in olive oil and then wash it with Neem shampoo. If I wake up bald tomorrow, I know something went wrong...

In south Bali most cosmetics are available, and usualy for a lower price than in Europe. I'm not an expert on cosmetics, but I have heard a lot of people advising Martha Tilaar products. Here are 2 links to some sites http://www.balitravelforum.com/archive200701/58409.html and http://www.balitravelforum.com/archive200701/58409.html.

Miso, are you familiar with Utama Spice, Utama Spice | Natural Products for Spa & Home | Natural herbal products in Bali? So far I've only tried one of their lotions but I'm very happy with how well it moisturizes my skin. Ingredients are: spring water, virgin coconut oil, beeswax, seaweed, cempaka. Perhaps they would even be willing to make something up for you. On Saturdays they also sell at an organic market in Ubud located in Pizza Bagus.
