Default A Taste of Honey, Tasting much sweeter than wine, not!

For those of you that aren't familiar with the rare Balinese honey bee it's not much bigger than your normal house fly and stings not at all. So when I had some trees chopped this week on my property we were delighted to find one of them was full of Balinese bees and their honey. If you haven't tried it then the best description is that it is a bit like "normal" honey mixed with vinegar, sweet - yes, very thin, maybe due to the heat? But slightly sour. As you can see from the pictures we all loved it and I just wish you could have a try. Like the old song goes "tasting much sweeter than wine" in this case it actually tasted very much like it was mixed with wine. I presume the taste depends in large part on what the bees have been feeding on too. Oh, they are gone now.
