Default Where to buy citric acid

Help, someone. I live in Renon. My hobby is making wine from local fruits (well, carrots are close enough) like mangoes, rambutan, santan, sirsak, etc. My problem is that I need citric acid but don't know from where to buy it. Previously, I have asked friends to bring it from Australia for me, but to bring a plastic bag with white powder in it has become quite unpopular amongst them!

anyone know from whre I can buy it locally?

Here is a comment from twitter:

U can find citric acid in small bags Bali Buddha in Krobokan to lower ph in wine. Uses very little for home brewing
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

Bratachem has citric acid sent from Surabaya. However, Saba Kimia, Jl. Bulu Indah 99 (0361 410662) has chemicals for industrial and food uses. I bought 1 kg of food quality citric acid, in a sealed plastic bag, for Rp.12,500.

Yes, SpicyAyam, you are correct in that not much is used, but I started the process to make 60 lts of carrot and ginger wine (sounds strange but is delicious), 20 lts of mango, 20 lts of sirsak and 20 lts of guava (jambu biji), so needed a fair amount. They will take a year or more to become the quality I want, so largish quantities are the order of the day.

Having suffered a stroke, I have made very little wine for two years and now need to build up my stock again. No, the stroke was not caused by drinking large quantities of home-made wine. I drink little alcohol myself, but have friends who enjoy my product. My enjoyment is simply from making it, trying to improve all the time and being with friends when they enjoy my feeble efforts.

The balance of citric acid will keep in the refrigerator till I make the next lot of wine.
