Default moving to bali for several months

Hi, I am a college student and have been coming to bali since i was an infant. I'm going to be living in Bali for several months this year and am trying to get everything sorted so any help would be appreciated. First of all where would be the best place to look to find a cheap one bedroom house for rent in seminyak? I would prefer something with some what of a zen or hippy feeling to it- i guess what im saying is i dont want it to be too modern. Also I am looking into it with school but how would you suggest getting a visa for several months. I have had the sixty day visas before but is it possible to get a longer one if i plan on staying from July to January otherwise I can just have a short trip to out to extend my visa. Any other information you think would be usefull feel free to let me know.
    Aloha,
    Kendra

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

You can also try a homestay in Kerobokan near Restaurant Gita, jl Semer.
I thought it was 1,5 mill. rups for a single room, and 2,5 for a double.
Shared kitchen, wifi, jacuzzi. Looked very nice from the pictures. In total 6 (or 8 ?) rooms.

He's German (Ben), she is Indonesian.
I am not sure if I should post his nummer as it was advertised on a noticeboard and not online as the ad mentioned above. I'll PM you.
